Consistency of the NPML Estimator in the Right-Censored Transformation Model

چکیده
This paper studies the representation and large-sample consistency for nonparametric maximum likelihood estimators (NPMLEs) of an unknown baseline continuous cumulative-hazard-type function and parameter of group survival difference, based on right-censored two-sample survival data with marginal survival function assumed to follow a transformation model, a slight generalization of the class of frailty survival regression models. The paper’s main theoretical results are existence and unique a.s. limit, characterized variationally, for large data samples of the NPMLEof baseline nuisance function in an appropriately defined neighbourhood of the true function when the group difference parameter is fixed, leading to consistency of the NPMLE when the difference parameter is fixed at a consistent estimator of its true value. The joint NPMLE is also shown to be consistent. An algorithm for computing it numerically, based directly on likelihood equations in place of the expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm, is illustrated with real data.

Kernel Ridge Estimator for the Partially Linear Model under Right-Censored Data
Objective: This paper aims to introduce a modified kernel-type ridge estimator for partially linear models under randomly-right censored data. Such models include two main issues that need to be solved: multi-collinearity and censorship. To address these issues, we improved the kernel estimator based on synthetic data transformation and kNN imputation techniques. The key idea of this paper is t...
متن کاملStrong Convergence Rates of the Product-limit Estimator for Left Truncated and Right Censored Data under Association
Non-parametric estimation of a survival function from left truncated data subject to right censoring has been extensively studied in the literature. It is commonly assumed in such studies that the lifetime variables are a sample of independent and identically distributed random variables from the target population. This assumption is often prone to failure in practical studies. For instance, wh...
متن کاملTracking Interval for Doubly Censored Data with Application of Plasma Droplet Spread Samples
Doubly censoring scheme, which includes left as well as right censored observations, is frequently observed in practical studies. In this paper we introduce a new interval say tracking interval for comparing the two rival models when the data are doubly censored. We obtain the asymptotic properties of maximum likelihood estimator under doubly censored data and drive a statistic for testing the ...
متن کاملOn Consistency of the Self-consistent Estimator of Survival Functions with Interval-censored Data
The self-consistent estimator is commonly used for estimating a survival function with interval-censored data. Recent studies on interval censoring have focused on case 2 interval censoring, which does not involve exact observations, and double censoring, which involves only exact, right-censored or left-censored observations. In this paper, we consider an interval censoring scheme that involve...
متن کاملSingle-index Regression models with right-censored responses
In this article, we propose some new generalizations of M-estimation procedures for single-index regression models in presence of randomly right-censored responses. We derive consistency and asymptotic normality of our estimates. The results are proved in order to be adapted to a wide range of techniques used in a censored regression framework (e.g. synthetic data or weighted least squares). As...
